Aarea is the daughter of A'bion and Larea, who was a Lower Cavern's resident at Isla Weyr. She is the rider of golden pearl Jadath and resides at Isla Weyr.

Description

A skinny girl, Aarea is just coming into womanhood at thirteen Turns. She has medium-fair skin and black hair that is often unbound. Aarea has her father's green eyes.

Personality

Fiesty and spirited, Aarea has grown up with the freedom the Weyr-life brings and knows how to speak her mind.

Relationships

Family

She loves her father dearly and is known to be a daddy's girl through and through. She wants to be just as brave and great as her father is and shares his fear of heights. As she lost her mother during the Mist in the Tenth Pass, she is particularly close to him even if he is often busy. Now that Aarea is a dragonrider herself, she understands better why her father can't always be there for her like some others.

Other than her being very close with father, Aarea is very close to her half brothers and sister.

History

She was born at Isla Weyr in the Tenth Pass. When she was a year old, her mother was killed during the End of Pass Gather but her brothers were able to protect her until they were rescued by one of the riders. Because of this, Aarea did not know her mother well and spent the next few Turns at Dark Moon until she went with A'bion and her brothers to the Eleventh Pass. She has spent most of her life in the current Pass Isla Weyr and barely remembers the Gather or living at Dark Moon.

Aarea grew up in the Lower Caverns alongside her half brothers, Adarion and Tarion who were older and protected her from just about everything.

During the Memorial Clutch, Aarea was only ten Turns old and surprised herself and her father when Jadath chose her. Despite her age, Aarea is proving to be very mature and up for the task, helping keep the Weyrlings on track and very proud of being a dragonrider just like her father.
