Genetic Codes

Genetics are the foundation of all life, and while this fact is true, the genetic codes presented here are not real (with the exception of the Winged Wolves, Kijana, and Gryphon codes which are based on real-life animals), and serve to amuse my mind as a way to mimic real genetics as much as possible.

The PACS Code

Also known as PAACS or the Pernese code, this code was discovered by the IGPC on Pern in the Eleventh Pass. It is found in many species that are decendents from Pernese dragons.

The RYB Code

Species:EdjerenTavarynTesav'raja (Spellweaver)WyvernEredaur (Gemdragon)

This code is proabbly the second most common of species within the realm but found primarily amoung dragons of Ithias. It combines pigment of colors simular to how paint is mixed to create a spectrum of colors within the species and has 3 regions of color, which vary between species.

Winged Wolves: Used for most of the canine species in the Realm but known best as the winged wolves.
Kijana (Forestdragons): The Kijana use horse genetics as a base for coloration, though not all genes known in horses are found in the Kijana.
Gryphons: Genetics of the gryphons of Arcadias as well as the rocs.
